I am writing this letter in response to your current contest.  Actually this letter is long overdue anyway.

It all started when I was looking for someone to help me through the in ground pool selection and installation process.  This was about 8 years ago.  I had stopped at two of your competitors prior to stopping at Aqua Fun and found them to be ok in their presentation, but wanted that third quote.  When I stopped in by your showroom in Sussex and asked to talk to someone about in ground pools, out from the back room came Jim, your owner.  Turns out he is the man with all the info you ever wanted to know.

Jim was one of the most friendly and informative people you will ever meet in this industry.  He really took his time with me and my wife when we talked to him.  He carefully explained the advantages and disadvantages of different types of in ground pools and went over in detail all the choices of cosmetics, equipment, and accessories.  I guess I should mention that Aqua Fun was also very competitive.Jim really made it a "no brainer" as they say so we selected Aqua Fun for our new 40' x 20' Roman style in ground. 

Jim was on the job sight working with the crew every day and explained the process in detail as they went along.  I also must mention that the subcontractors Jim works with were also very professional and experienced as they installed the electrical and gas elements.  We lived in this house for 6 years and never had a problem with the pool, not once.  The liner we purchased still looked great and needed no repair.  All this alone would be enough to recommend Aqua Fun to anyone, but my best experience was yet to come.

After we sold that home, we decided to build our next home in the same general area.  Why of course we went to see Jim again since he had become a good friend as I would stop in the store occasionally for supplies and talk to him.  We also bought our spa from Aqua Fun and got the same gre at results from price, quality, and delivery and installation.  Anyway, we decided to go with the same style pool with a diving board as we had at our previous location.

Jim got started on this pool and dug out the shallow end of the pool and then moved on to the deep end.  He dug out the form of it equal to the shallow end and then started to go deeper and  put his shovel in and took a big scoop.  Water came bubbling up. He dug a little more and then came up to see me with the bad news.  Apparently the water table was very shallow in our back yard and he said we probably would not be able to have a pool.  I was stunned because I knew what this would do to my wife.

The reason is because my wife's mother had passed away and left her the money for the pool because she knew how much fun our kids had playing in her pool as they were growing up.  I told Jim about this and he immediately said don't worry, I will figure out somethin g to make this work for you.  I couldn't believe how Jim, who barely knew us, was so compassionate.

He rigged up a complicated pumping system with several pumps to keep pumping the water out so he could dig.  Using this he was able to get down about 6 feet in the deep end and recommended that we install a slide rather than a diving board since we could not get deep enough, so we did.

Jim put the slide in for us and our kids and grand kids just love it.  To make this work, Jim had to come out to our house at night after work many times to make sure the pumps were still running and that all was well.  Only a true professional with the great experience that Jim has would have been able to make this pool work for us.

Well the pool has been in for two full seasons now and it is flawless as well as beautiful.  Each summer it provides endless hours of enjoyment for our family.  Obviously I would recommend and have recommended Jim and Aqua fun without reservation to anyone.  In fact I would s ay that of all the contractors I have worked with over the years (I have built 5 homes), Jim and Aqua Fun stand at the very top of the list.  I consider Jim a great professional and a good friend.
